Export music playlist to m3u+media

I find myself needing to dump a bunch of songs onto a USB stick to play back in a non-plex environment. The FLACs I want are right in front of me, in a plex playlist, but there’s no way to export them so I need to find each one on the NAS manually and copy it out, then make an M3U (or whatever, I’m easy on the playlist format) separately to replicate the plex playlist that already exists.

I would really, really like plex to do this for me - it shouldn’t be hard. Create zip of media+playlist, download zip, done!

Id love this feature as well.

My reason, is that my car has a usb slot so i can play music via a usb stick.

Id love for the ability to be able to download/sync music to the usb stick to play in the car.

At the moment, i have to manually create/edit music and would be so much better if plex was able to do that.

I would very much like to see this as well. I have all of these great playlists that I have created within Plex, but need to be able to export them and then import them into another program.

Hi, I would love need this feature also!

I have a plex server using a Nvidia shield Pro.

I have 4,753 song titles which I am slowly rating via smart playlists.

I would like the ability to export the Plex Ratings/Playlist to my windows machine for backup and transfer to J Rivers Media Centre.

I love Plex’ ability to create related playlists, based on a song. But I’d love to use these playlists outside of plex as well

Can we please have this feature: “download playlist to disc”?

  • download all tracks within a playlist to a local directory
  • option to rename files with a certain pattern (e.g. “track number - artist - title”)
  • create an .m3u file to make the list instantly playable in winamp et al
  • wrap everything in a zip file for easy download

This would enable us to

  • upload our custom playlists to Android (Plex for Android doesn’t have playlist sync :frowning: )
  • re-use our playlists on unsupported devices
  • share our playlists with friends who don’t have Plex
  • …

Yeah a download feature for a whole folder/playlist/album would be great!!!

Has anything like this been implemented yet? Devices don’t have enough storage to sync.

Yes, this time of feature is greatly needed.

Yes for me too, since I have smart playlists it’s very time consuming to download all files in the playlist, plus if there are changes : I need to delete all songs and start over again. I tried several apps but they all sync my entire library but I don’t want that (over 10000 songs / over 100 GB.
