Download playlist locally

I don't know if this is a feature, but I can't find any option to download a music playlist locally. Does this currently exist in Plex? TIA

Not sure what you want here.  Do you want to download the music files listed in a playlist to your local drive, or do you want to generate a .m3u playlist file?

You can copy content to mobile devices, for example, using the Sync feature.  But I don't think that's supported in Plex Playlists.

Yes please, let’s have this feature. I love Plex’ ability to create related playlists - could we have an option to download all songs in the playlist to a specified directory, plus an .m3u file to reference the sequence?

This would make these playlists instantly re-usable for all kinds or purposes:

  • upload to smartphone, MP3 player
  • use for personal DJing collection
  • use for my band’s break music using a Raspberry Pi playing off a USB stick
  • …

There’s a very popular feature request for this. Plex Pass members can vote for it by clicking ‘Like’ on the first message in that thread.

I don’t think this is exactly what is being asked here. I have a Plex server on a NAS but on a Windows computer I would like to download songs in a play list so that I can copy them to a USB to play in my car. I’ve created a Windows desktop app to do this for myself I’m willing to share with others but it’s not ideal since it’s not a built in feature.
