How can I export a music playlist for use in a different music app?

There’s a 3rd-party app called WebTools that can do this.

Thanks. That looks complicated - no m3u option.
How about importing playlists from iTunes?

It’s actually very simple. WebTools saves a .m3u8 file. Many apps can open those as well as .m3u. In most cases, you can simply change the extension of the file to .m3u.

Plex can import your iTunes playlists when you create a library. I don’t use iTunes, so I’ve never tried it. This Help page has a bit about it:
