Does anyone know of a tool that can take my in plex matched music database and write out the metadata to all my music? i.e. I’m ok with plex not doing it, I’m wondeirng if there’s any third party tool that can use the database to do it itself.

I know of no such tool.
The closest is perhaps Musicbrainz Picard, since it uses the same database. But it scans and matches completely independently from Plex.
is their an api that I can query plex with a path and get plex to give me the metadata for the file? If it could, I could probably write a simple utility to do this.
Of course there is an API, but it’s not publicly documented.
You’d have to reverse-engineer it.

This is what I use to tag all my media. Everything I have is correctly tagged, so Plex does not have to guess.
