Fanart with XML epg?

I have created some scripts which generate epg data for me automatically. I am wondering if there is a tag that Plex would accept as a fanart image. Nothing is mentioned in the standard (xmltv/xmltv.dtd at master · XMLTV/xmltv · GitHub) regarding fanart, but maybe plex accepts a custom tag?

Does Plex read the quality key? I have this in many of my airings, but they still show as SD.

To re-iterate. I am not looking for help writing scripts or anything like that. I am just looking for some insight into what xml epg tags Plex actually reads. As far as I know this is not documented anywhere.
