My client is a TiVo Stream 4k stick. Two, actually, both behaving identically.
On boot, Plex client starts running in the background; I do have a “force stop” option under the app settings for Plex. It seems as though this background startup is messing up the proper Plex startup (main activity).
When I run Plex after booting, it always brings up a round spinner (no Plex logo), spins for a bit, and then says fast user switching isn’t available and to check status.plex.tv or my Internet connection (both are fine; it’s some problem just on this client). I can log into my most-recently-used managed user and then Plex plays media fine.
If I force-stop Plex and then run it again, then it shows the Plex logo, spins very briefly, and gives me a user selection screen. This is the desired behavior. What’s not desired is that I have to force-stop Plex every single time I power on my TiVo Stream 4k.
