The watchlist is pitched as a one-stop-shop for all your content, server-based and streaming, but for content on your own Plex server it’s actually sort of degrading. If I open a movie/show in the watchlist and it’s on my Plex server, just open it on the Plex server - don’t make me click again on the server/library name to get to what I want. Extra clicks are just a drag.
Some users might only have a lower quality version of a movie in their local libraries (or one that lacks certain language/subtitle tracks which are available with another streamer). Therefore it might be useful to have the more ways to watch section even if an item is available in a local or shared library.
That being said, there’s an existing suggestion discussing an option to start playback for locally available media without the extra clicks. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
