placing a "start here" marker for more specific starting points
Is there some way to mark the beginning (and potentially the end, as well) of a favorite scene, independent of anything other than the specific time or frame?I am looking for a feature that exists on Kaleidescape (for example), one that would allow me to mark a favorite scene so I can access it quickly and easily. This is not the same as Bookmarking as I have come to understand it in Plex, since Bookmarking sets your place where you *left off* in a movie. Rather, this would allow me to go directly to my favorite "demo" scenes in various movies and concert videos, ones that I use frequently, without having to navigate the disc's menu system or skip ahead a bunch of chapters.
Even better would be the ability to save these favorite scenes and then refer to them in a simple script, so I could skip to specific timecodes in different discs in a custom playlist. Imagine an iTunes playlist, but instead of songs from various albums, I am acessing a list of favorite scenes.
Forgive me if something like this already exists. I have been playing around with Plex for a while now (and it is extremely cool), and I have started sifting through the documentation, but my searches so far have not yielded anything useful. Maybe I don't know the right search terms within your lexicon.
