Feature Request: Add Same File To Playlist Multiple Times

First off, I love Plex. I’ve been using it for a couple of years throughout the house and am amazed and thankful for all it can do.

In searching the forums it appears this has been asked for back in 2018, I’d like to raise the request again. From the FireTV client app I can create a video playlist and add a file to it, but if I want to add the same file again the app says OK but does not add it a second time. Seems like it would be a reasonable request for it to work like Spotify and other systems playlists, to ask the user “This is already in your playlist, do you want to add it again?” and then allow it.

It looks this suggestion didn’t really gain much attention.
Your best shot though will be to post this in the Feature Suggestions category. Given there’s already an existing feature suggestion you should vote/comment in that thread instead.

Allow for items to appear in a playlist more than once

Very simple: it should be possible to add an item to a playlist multiple times if desired. That would make them work more like playlists in other music apps. There’s a number of reasons a user might want to repeat a track or movie, and it would be great if we had the ability to do that.

+1 for this as a feature request. Being able to sleep in front of the same item on repeat would be invaluable in any number of situations.
