So I really love the Apple TV, and the Plex client on it is amazing as well. For a brief period I ran infuse though, and it has a feature Im really missing. It has “Disc Caching” wich does pretty much just that. Instead of streaming the movie like Plex, it will stream, while downloading the file as fast as it possibly can untill it has the whole file, or the disc is full.
This is very beneficial, both for remote users, or for areas in a house with spotty wifi. It improves the playback experience a lot, without having to rely on the transcoder to shrink the files.
Id love it if you guys would steal this feature and use it in Plex.
