Better Internal Player for Android, comparable to power of MX Player for direct play
Details of my experience:
I purchased the Minix Neo X7 Media Hub to bring a media player to my TV. I have found that the internal player for Android is not usable on this device, while I have no problems using the internal player for the same videos on my Windows laptop. The quality of the video is very poor on the Android regardless of the settings I choose for direct play, and transcoding isn't a good option for my setup. I have found that the MX Player is a great external player, but when using it I lose the value of having Plex know about the partial play. For this reason I support the feature requested here: https://forums.plex.tv/topic/81171-improved-support-for-external-players-on-android/?hl=minix as an alternative to this feature request.
I'm happy to have paid for Plex Pass to support getting a great player. I hope one of these feature requests will be moved forward to improve the overall Android user experience.
