Hey all! While Plex is quickly becoming the one media player to rule them all, there is still one glaring weakness in it’s suite of features - audiobooks!
Audible’s system can track a listener’s progress and sync that progress from the top down. It’s honestly the one feature that makes Audible’s app useful as a media player.
It would be so amazingly amazing if Plex could incorporate a similar feature to an audiobook category. If Plex could interpret an entire folder of files as a single book (similar to how Plex already “stitches” multiple video files into a single movie, for instance), and then keep track of a listener’s progress in the book (again, similar to how Plex remembers where I left off on X-movie), I could completely ditch Audible and have ANOTHER reason to love Plex with all my bits and bytes.
Anyone agree with this idea? Does it already exist in Plex? If so, teach me!!!
