Feature Request: Batch Select to Sync in iOS

Hi. I searched the forums but didn’t see this request so I thought I’d create a thread.

It would be awesome to be able to select individual media files in my library and then sync the entire selection in a batch (like you can do in the media manager on the desktop). Just to provide some clarification, here’s what I’m talking about. In the media manager on my Mac, I’m able to tick the little checkbox in my library and then select a bunch of movies. Once completed, I can sync that selection as a single batch to my iPhone. Unfortunately, I don’t have the same option if I’m doing that directly in the iOS app. I have to sync each movie I want one at a time in a queue.

The importance of this feature is the current iOS app does not continue to sync after the first media file has been synced and the phone goes to sleep. When I do it in a batch mode from my desktop, Plex treats all my sync selections as a single sync request and it forces my phone to sync all items before it quits. I always sync before I go to bed as I change up my offline movies on a regular basis. But I have to Remote Desktop into my Mac, create a batch selection, and then sync. Not an easy task on a small phone screen while lying in bed. Being able to do it directly from the iOS app would be a huge convenience.

Thanks!

I agree. This would be great for all versions of all players. I use Android and really want this too.

Edit: … and, yes, I realize I can use the web app to do this. Why can’t I use the mobile app?
