I know there is a way to download one media file at a time from your PMS, but is there a way to select (out of your own library) various shows to download to your computer at once or one library (that contains just TV shows at once)?
Sadly, this is one of the most requested Features we have in the system now, but don’t expect to get it any time soon. Seems that the Plex Users that come to the forums to request features like this don’t have the “pulse” of the entire Plex Community, as a whole. As such, @elan, one of the co-founders of Plex has said it’s too boring to make those Requested Features. So come to think of it, adding a “Like” amounts to wasting your time, too…
Seems the Team would rather make things that are non-functional or buggy as all get out, than to fix the features that are only partially functional or outright missing.
It also seems that some Ninjas aren’t even pointing people to the Feature Requests forum anymore. I can understand why, with the Team not working on them…
@MikeG6.5 - I’d really appreciate you not misquote me, out of context and misrepresent what I said. It’s fine to disagree, but please don’t spread misinformation. On mobile now, but I’m sure some kind soul can post a link to the conversation Mike is referring to.
What a boring world it would be where all we were allowed to work on were things which customers requested! Surely there’s a healthy mix, and based on initial feedback a lot of people are enjoying the photo tagging feature. Also, I know you were just being snarky, but iOS doesn’t allow editing auto-tags either, so I’m not sure what to tell you.

life would be very boring if we were limited to doing only the things which customers (or just power users) were asking for.

Did you not say this?
And you mis quoted that as “…it’s too boring to make those Requested Features.” Not at all the same thing, is it?
Look, I share some of your concerns with how Plex is handling things, but I’m getting tired of you and Elijah crapping all over everyone’s posts with your childish “not getting my way” whining. This OP asked a question, and is just looking for an answer, not a ■■■■■-rant about the company. Let’s grow up a little, why don’t we?
@espinooo@ChuckPa To return to the original topic , to be clear, Sync and Download are two different functions. Chuck mentioned Sync, which doesn’t simply download media files to the target device, it also transcodes them.
I suspect the OP was asking about simply downloading files, which you can do one at a time by selecting “Download” from the “…” menu, and is not restricted to device types. There is no way to batch-download media files in this manner in Plex, and I’m not aware of any feature requests to implement it.
