It would be nice if all movies could also be viewed by category.
E.G. Western, Action, Family, Horror, Animation, Comedy, Drama, etc.
1600+ movies and searching by category is very nice option.
I think what you’re looking for is “Genre” You can do that by using the filter in the web interface. Select New Filter >>> Genre >>> select the genres you want. Pretty sure most apps have similar options
The ability to filter is also available using the iOS and Samsung TV apps

Yes, Genre category… You can’t sort that way using Roku, PlayStation, Samsung, or Android
You can filter by genre in the Samsung TV app

I have not seen that on Roku or my PS4…
It’s there on the Roku too. This screenshot is taken from Plex Media Player, but the UI is almost identical to Roku:
Sorting by genre is on every platform, including PS4
