In the Photo library, when you click on a picture, it opens and the diashow mode starts (meaning after a few seconds the next photo will be shown). You can disable it with the play/pause button under the picture, but the next time you start the diashow mode it’s on autoplay again.
To better understand my problem, I’m browsing my Photo library to download a few single pictures to my laptop. I go to one folder, click on an image, click the download button, then I go back to the tile view to scroll further to another picture I like and click on that one, but everytime I do that by the time I want to click the download button it’s already showing the next picture.
There is not way to change that behavior in the Web App Settings menu (Advanced view enabled).
Also the download button, doesn’t open a new tab but rather sends you directly to the picture and you can’t rightclick the Download button for “open in new tab” and the shortcut, ctrl+click doesn’t work either. So when you return to the Photo library after downloading a picture the auto play diashow is enabled once again.
My suggestions:
- When you click on a picture within the Photo library, the diashow mode shouldn’t start. There is a play button in the Nav bar on the left if anyone really wants to start a diashow, use the button.
- In case you don’t want to start the diashow from the very first picture but rather from some picture further down, browse to that picture, click on it, press the little play button under the picture to start it.
- (OPTIONAL) Make an option in the Web App settings to switch between “Diashow Auto Play”: “always on” and “always off”
- Regarding the Download button, it really should open the picture I want to download in another tab or trigger the browsers download dialog.
Thanks!
