Ok so this might be an insane thing to ask for. Hear me out, I was listening to music through Plex, then my kids were watching Thanksgiving and Christmas movies through Plex. And my wife and I were organizing photos in Plex. And then we started looking up recipes for the holidays.
As we started getting ready for our locked down Thanksgiving this year. We decided since it was just going to be us and no one was coming over we were going to cook all the foods we were too afraid to mess up.
And I instinctively started searching my Plex server to find my family recipes. Only one problem…they were not in Plex. Oh nooooo. Dun dun Dun…
So it got me to thinking. Is there anyway Plex could add a family recipe or recipe type library to the server?
I know this is probably a very very far out request. But I think the ability to add recipes to Plex and have them right there or even in a separate app similar to Plexamp. Might be a cool thing to have. Sharing recipes is something that is nice also, my friends and family email and text each other with stuff to try out frequently.
For now, I’m going to add recipes to my Photo library. Using pictures of the food and putting the recipe part in the summary and maybe a tag that says recipe.
But come on Plex!!! You can do anything you put your mind to!!!
