I appreciate how well Plex sorts and organizes photos, movies, tv shows.
I have a television in my kitchen and I would love for Plex to be able to sort and organize my kitchen recipies. They are not all in the same format and having a standard way to present them and clean them up would be excellent.
You might be better off with a web or document server to host those files of yours… maybe use a personal database or even an app that’s designed for your purpose.

I created jpg recipe cards for my recipes, and setup a Photo section in Plex just for them, so I can access them via my tablet out in the kitchen. Works well. 
But adding the long standing request for eBook and eComic support in Plex would go a long way to solving this particular issue for Plex users too. I have many cookbooks in .mobi, .epub, and .pdf formats.
