[Feature Request] Filter by "Unavailable"

Hello,

I have been using plex server for a while now and would like to suggest a small feature.
Basically be able to filter movies, Series etc by Unavailable.

So I had the bad experience of one of my harddisks die and a bunch of my favorite movies gone forever :slight_smile:

I realized metadata for the ā€œUnavailableā€ movies was still present ( Awesome btw) , so if I could filter movies in that condition I could try and retrieve them again.

Even if we could export somehow a list of that ā€œUnavailableā€ movies would be great.

It works for tv shows as well, if you set the view mode to ā€œEpisodesā€.

That dinĀ“t work for me and I have alot of Unavailable movies in that folder.

Make sure that ā€œEmpty trash automatically after every scanā€ is DISabled in the server settings.
Then perform a library scan.

Now thatā€™s something to tryā€¦still this should be a feature in plex in my opinion

Do also make sure that your database is not damaged. Because if it is, you might lose even more data in the future and it might also be the cause of the non-working ā€œTrashā€ filter.

  1. activate debug logging (not ā€˜verboseā€™!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
