Feature Request for OAuth2 endpoint

I’m about to receive a shiny new Amazon Echo and an Echo Dot!
There’s a convoluted way to get these working with Plex but it would be much simpler if Plex supported OAuth2 authentication, the Amazon skill for Plex could then be published formally. Amazon currently forces developers to use OAuth before an Alexa Skill will be published to the Skill Marketplace. Alexa Skill’s require OAuth 2.0 for user authentication (account linking), but the Plex API uses a basic authentication method for all requests. Due to this limitation, each person who wants to use this specific skill will need to set it up as an Amazon Skill developer.
Several other mainline products are also using OAuth and Plex development should consider adding this capability.

I would love to see this as it would lead to the possibility of several Alexa skills. Would love to be able to play music from my Plex library like I can from Prime Music, Pandora, Etc. using those Alexa skills.

There’s something in the works but seemingly this is a marathon effort… Lots of folks waiting for this.

With the release of Plex skill for Alexa a plex.tv/oauth endpoint was added.
Any idea when it will be documented so we can use for custom apps?

Any Updates for oauth?

PUSH it to the TOP!
