Please give us a feature to allow users to use pip player to play music. This will allow us to skip songs while multitasking especially in landscape mode. There is an app now called floating player that allows for this of Spotify and apple music. Would be great to have this baked in and run in within the app itself.
You mean like control center, except it’s permanently floating on top of other windows?
Pip meaning “Picture in Picture” is an iOS and android feature as well that allows users to watch video of other apps while they can multitask. It’s just a small square or rectangle that can be dragged around the screen and even be hidden to the side. I’m thinking in this case, a pop out pip player that can show album artwork and with 3 buttons. Forward, play/ pause, and a skip.
I’m familiar with the concept. Just trying to understand what you’re trying to achieve as iOS will have the playback controls 1 swipe or 2 clicks away at all times:
-
Control Center: Swipe down to access the bare controls to pause, skip back/forward or change the device to which you’re streaming
-
Lock Screen: Press the side button to switch off the screen, press the side button again to see the Lock Screen with the media playback widget, displaying the same controls incl. a progress slider and the expandable album poster
As per your explanation, that’s not what you’re looking for… these two options seemed sufficient to me so far (plus the third option of checking/controlling the playback from an Apple Watch).
Just thought it would be a cool idea
