Is it possible to have a "Recently Added" section on the home screen? A mixture of of libraries with newly added content.

Home screen as in the appletv.app when it boots up home screen? PlexConnect menu? I assume you mean the appletv.app and the answer is no unless it was an actual app in the top shelf.
I would think he means the Plexconnect.xml that appears when you enter trailers.app and currently shows the libraries and search. Something like the iOS client which shows libraries, the global On Deck and Recently Added rows on the same page.
If you check the roadmap on the wiki you will see it there (it would be as part if a “global” on deck but currently as unassigned.
