This may not be for people that are low on disk but I'd like to be able to keep my transcoded sessions for later use by the same compatible device.
For example, I begin watching a movie on Chromecast and my server does the work to transcode it on the fly then halfway through I decide to stop the movie or move to the bedroom. Why not have the server keep the transcoded part files and then serve up a direct play to the new session.
OR
I sync content to my Nexus 7 for an upcoming flight, later my wife wants to sync the same flic to her tablet which happens to be an Android device as well. Why transcode the file again when we can just download the already worked file.
I did some searching here on the forums but came up null, if this is already a thing or a work in progress please let me know.
