I think it would be a wonderful feature for there to be an ability to “archive” old content by re-transcoding and shrinking the file size (even if there is quality loss involved). I would love to see a way to select watched movies and re-encode them to a format such as HEVC or VP9 to save space. I know people will jump in to say delete what you don’t want, or get more/bigger drives, but at some point, it is not always feasible.

Would love to hear people’s thoughts!
