And given that OpenPHT is the successor to PHT, I guess my Feature Request would be best suited to this Area.
Similar to how the Haali Media Splitter does it, can we get Language combination preferences in OpenPHT?
I have allot of Dual Audio/Fansub Anime and swapping languages everytime I open the files is quite annoying, I prefer to watch anime in orginal lanugage with english subtitles everything else I prefer watching in English without subtitles, and if it is a foreign film that doesn’t have an english audio track, I prefer watching it in its original lanugage with english subtitles.(as can be seen in the below screenshot)
Really? I would’ve thought that language preferences would be a client side thing. Cause if it’s changed Server side then all my house-mates would have to put up with my language preferences. I like my foreign films in original lanugage with english subtitles, but some of my house-mates seem to prefer english audio for everything.

In the Plex world, language preferences are bound to the user account.
Each of your mates should have his own plex account. Then he has his own language prefs and also his own ‘viewed’/‘unviewed’ information stored on the server. Also watching progress in series is tracked for him individually.

The house-mates don’t have Full Plex Accounts, they do have the “Family” sub accounts thing, and thus have the progress/series tracked etc on the server and I assume their own language settings.
However that’s a different thing to what I’m talking about. I would like for my own account to be able to set a Language order of preferences, Japanese Audio with English Subtitles first, English audio with No Subtitles second and then file Default Audio with English Subtitles third. Now if this is a server side setting then ok I’ll take it up with the server forums, but I would’ve thought that the interface for an Account Setting would be client side, not something that the server admin would need to login to the server to set.

Yes, I know that. And I agree with you here. I also have an Anime library for which I’d like to set a different language preference.
But yes, unfortunately not possible. And it is indeed a ‘server’ / ‘user account’ thing.
