Feature Request: Library Toggle

I would like to request a new feature be added to Plex’s library management to allow the server owner to administratively disable access and visibility to a library, without discarding its configuration settings, metadata, custom artwork, etc.
This would be especially useful, as an example, for turning off visibility to a “Holiday Movies” library when the holidays are over!

@OttoKerner Time limited doesn’t look to allow you to restore libraries like @matthewf01 is suggesting does it? I understand his request, I rotate holiday specific content for my Kids at different times throughout the year. Mostly because I get tired of Christmas content after December. It is a little bit of a pain to rebuild the library every time December rolls around.

Please read the linked feature request again.
It merely requests a library being invisible outside of a defined time frame. Not deleted.

I can think of a couple of ways to do this currently in Plex.

  1. Have your holiday movies in a separate library, and share it to your users’ accounts only during the holidays.

  2. Add a ‘Holiday’ label to your holiday movies, and a ‘General’ label to the rest of your movie library. Then use the Restrictions page of the Edit Users page to restrict access to ‘General.’ When the holidays roll around, add the ‘Holiday’ label to the restrictions, and remove it afterwards.

Adding a label to your entire library is easier than you might think. You can select multiple items and add a label to all of them at once.
