Feature Request: Loan to friend

I’ve been using a program to catalog my movies for years (http://www.collectorz.com/movie/) until I found Plex. Plex does so much more! The one thing I miss (and the only reason I still use the old program in along with Plex) is there isn’t an option for “Loan to Friend”. Not everyone has the ability to stream and just want to barrow the original DVD. When your collection contains several hundred movies it is hard to remember who you loaned what to and when. That is why I think a simple section for User added Metadata would be great!

This could either be:

  1. Blank custom metadata that could be used for anything.
  2. Metadata for the following: Who you loaned it to, When you loaned it, and when they returned it. (Should be an ongoing list)

If this could be implemented I wouldn’t need to house all my movies in two different databases.

You could use Collections? But a “Comments” field would probably be good so people can customise stuff like this.
