Feature request: Make the home screen the way it was before

Plex, what have you done?

The current “Home” screen has no use whatsoever for me. I have all online services turned off, so it just offers me four pills for my different library media types (movies, TV, documentaries, etc.). What’s the point? Where’s my useful home screen with “continue watching” and “recently added”? Why have you made this horrendous change?

The dictators no longer care about providing a delightful user experience. Incompetency has taken over the company at the highest levels.

It sounds like none of your libraries have be marked as favorites yet. To do so:

  1. Long-press (~1.5 secs) on the libraries icon in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
  2. From the menu which is then shown at the bottom of the screen, select “See All Libraries.”
  3. In the library list, select the heart icon beside each library whose content you’d like to see on the home screen (the heart will become solid but it might take a couple of seconds).
  4. When you navigate back to your home screen, you should see the Continue Watching list and whatever hubs are enabled for each library you favorited.

You can also select Re-order on the library long-press menu to change the order of the libraries’ content on the home screen.

I think the missing setup wizard on first app run is being investigated as it’s been reported by a few folks.

Awesome UI design, wiping out things users need and expecting them to know where they need to and what new actions they need to take to make things simply work, as they did for so long.

Literally: Break things, make them unobvious as to how to get back to previous levels of functionality. They very antithesis of progress.

That only works so far, I am unable to add to my home screen either my playlists or my downloads the iPad app. If there is a way of doing this why is it so hard to find? This used to be a lovely app and now it has been meddled with to the point where it is a really poor experience and beyond frustrating to use. And it keeps crashing.
