Right now you can just “filter” a search by actor, year, etc. Just some simple reports to “explore” better.
I would like to see a screen that shows ALL actors in all my movies (with photos of their faces), RANKED high>low for how many movies each are in.
ie:
Sean Connery (51) - click to view all
Pierce Brosnan (41) - click to view all
Daniel Craig (31) - click to view all
And the same thing for years… to rank which years I have the most movies in.
2002 (51) - click to view all
1998 (41) - click to view all
2006 (31) - click to view all
Etc.
Thank you!
Something like this similarly exists in the Web Browser client, btw.
Can you tell me more about this? Maybe with a screen shot or two? Would be perfect to have it cross-library, too…

Kind of. See attached. You can click on an actor and see all their movies you have… but there is no way to see a list of all your actors by ‘count’, and to sort from high>low… you can’t see anything until you click their name from the alphabetical list.
Uhm… thank you for your efforts. That is exactly, what the original author of the feature request decribes of what is possible now (first sentence) in his entry post.
The feature request is way beyond that.
And … it is not cross-library.

Early 2021 clean-up: duplicate
Can we get a view that list all the actors in the library similar to how we have the view the standard view that lists all the movies. This would be a very nice alternative to the filter by actor combo box that current exists. This would also make it ALOT easier to find all the actors that are missing images so that it can be fixed.
Thanks for listening!
