Fair and simple. No workarounds, no cumbersome procedures.
I’d like to be able to simply create a new library, then select “music videos”, then select the folder containing all my music videos (obviously following some convention, like Music videos folder/Artist - Song.m4v or Music videos folder/Artist/Artist - Song.m4v) and boom—all my music videos are displayed at once or filtered by artist.
It should be very easy and quick to develop, right? And we’d gain a lot in terms of easy of use. Because of all the current approaches on music videos, none of them is safe from being considered awfully weird to set up and, worse, to browse.
Can you do this with a new Library and name it Music Videos? Or can we only have 1 library at a time with the same content type (movies, tv shows, etc.)?
[edit] Confirmed, I split my Videos folder into 2 subfolders: Misc and Music. I then changed my Videos library folder to the new Misc subfolder. Then I created a new library called “Videos - Music” and added the new Music subfolder. Voila! Now my Videos library contains everything it had before except all the music videos which are now only contained in the new “Videos - Music” library. Is this what you were looking for?
