Feature request: option to never show auto-generated thumbnails/posters/etc (i.e. no spoilers mode)

I’m sure I’m not the first to request this but every year during my important sporting events (cycling) I add files to my plex so I can watch them on my TV and every year Plex spoils the results by showing auto generated previews from each file. I’ve disabled every available Library option for previews/thumbnails and invariably they are still there. This is MADDENING! Plex devs, please provide an option to simply not show or generate these thumbnails/previews/posters/etc!

Also for whatever it’s worth, if the platform was open source I’d be happy to contribute the feature myself. Let us nerds help you.

While you wait for plex to add this I believe there might be a workaround you can consider. When you add your media files to plex also add blank episode artwork alongside your media. See https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220717-local-media-assets-tv-shows and the section Episode Artwork on how to do this.
