When viewing photos you have the ability to edit the description of an individual photo, but who wants to do that for thousands of photos. A lot of information is often contained in the properties of the photo file and can easily be edited in mass through file explorer plus some other apps. The most logical information fields are:
Date Taken Subject Title Comments
If those fields can be pulled into the photo slideshow, you wouldn’t have to try to remember when & where they were.
You could take this further by allowing the user to map any metadata field of their choosing to 4 fixed description fields.
An example of how I arrange my photo descriptions might be:
Date Taken 26 JANUARY 2017
Subject MELBOURNE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA
Title 2017 AUSTRALIAN OPEN TENNIS
Comments ROGER FEDERER VS STAN WAWRINKA
Other people might have different methods, but if you can map to four fields, that should cover most needs.
