Feature Request: Photo zoom

Hey Plex team! First I have to say that you guys made the greatest software package imaginable! I can't live without accessing my server at least 3 hours a day. I'm running it on a dual quad core Server 2012 R2, chromecasting and using the theater version all the time. It never misses a beat with up to 5 simultaneous users!

I'd like to request a "zoom" feature when viewing photos. This can apply to comics or ebooks in a jpeg/png/etc format, but what I'd like to see is less black margins around our pictures. Specifically a little button added that will zoom the picture to fill to the sides of our screens so we'd have to scroll down, but we'd be able to read the item. I've tried just zooming in my browser, but no matter what the margins are holding, or distorting the whole page too much.

My attached picture shows a current example using a comic. As you can see it's illegible and the margins are huge. When I view this on my phone, the margins are almost completely gone and we can pinch zoom anything too small to read so you guys almost already have it.

This last option would finish off any other media app out there.

also for windows 8.1 version

Still waiting for this.

I would love to have this feature to

Great idea +1

This is basic for viewing photos, and the server / desktop app is behind mobile in this respect.

The lack of a zoom in the web viewer is the only thing stopping me from using Plex for family photo album sharing. It really needs a zoom feature, zoomable with the mouse wheel like most photo viewers.

+1, this feature is highly needed. Only reason stopping me from using it. Zoom feature is standard on other photo viewers.

+1, don’t get it what’s so difficult about it. Asking for this feature for years now.

The Xbox photo viewer does a superb job of this. Being able to pan around and zoom in and out of hi-res photos is one of the best features of a photo viewer let alone one intended to be used for sharing on large displays. Pretty lame thy haven’t put an ounce of thought into this idea in YEARS.
