If I add a 5-star blockbuster movie to my collection, it’s a shame to see it pushed back in line behind less exciting movies as I add them. I’d like the ability to pin movies to the front of the “Recently Added” list, or maybe a “Featured” section so I can keep the best of my “Recently Added” media front and center for all users.

Well… it‘s a „recently added“ hub… not a „my favorite movies“ hub.
Luckily you can already create your own hubs and publish them to the Home Screen. Such custom hubs are based on collections, e.g. a classic collection where you manually add your faves or a smart collection listing your 5/10/12/… top-rated movies or top-rated movies not yet watched in a certain period.
2024 clean-up: option to create custom hubs for that use case already exist (implemented)
