All I want to see on the home screen is recently added movies from any library. This ability has seemingly been taken away. Now it’s a cluttered mess.
It now Puts highlights of what is pinned and in the order it is pinned. Put your Movies library first and that is what will show first on your home screen. Optionally Unpin everything else if you really only want the latest movies.
This is a total mess. I want my movie libraries in alphabetical order. Animation is first followed by comedy, etc. In home I want recently added movies (from any movie library). Everything was just fine as it was and now it’s crippled.
Go to Settings - Server - Manage - Libraries
and tick the check box:
Make sure to use the hosted web app https://app.plex.tv
and the very latest server software version.
OttoKerner, I tried that last night and the home screen was just blank. Ticking the merge box again this morning and it seems to have worked. All I see on the home screen now are the recently added movies.
So now, TV/DVR remains on home screen no matter what unless you unpin. Same with the mobile app. You have to unpin on the mobile app too. Is this getting fixed?
You need to visit the Libraries section settings hover over your Movies library (and other libraries), and click the manage customization link that appears…there you can accomplish w/e customization is now available for the home screen, including removing all that clutter.
*** the library from which you want customization to appear on the home screen must be pinned to the sidebar
