Netflix recently added a feature i was waiting for age in plex.
Seeing a major actor doing it gave me the push I needed to ask for it here, and believing this feature could get the leverage to be incorporated in plex.

Why is it better than the Shuffle already present in Plex?
Shuffle in plex play something at random. It can be the last episode of an unwatched series, or one in the middle.
It works well for films, but it doesn’t for series & anime.
“Play something” will launch the first unwatched episode of a serie. So if it wasn’t watched at ll, it will be the first! Perfect.
Netflix implementation is even better: it will propose a show/film, with the option to select something else. It would be great but it is not the mvp, the first implementation could launch a show directly, I don’t mind.
Why I’d really like the feature?
Sometimes I browse for minutes librairies without being able to decide and ends by quitting plex altogether and launch Netflix.
This would keep me inside Plex more easily.
Go to the ‘Recommended’ tab of your tv show library.
“Rediscover” will show you series which you have watched at one time, but which still have unwatched episodes left.
You are asking for two things here.
The “Rediscover” hub applies to the latter.
There is a second hub, named “Start Watching” which covers the first one.
Yes, the hub exists but doesn’t answer the expression of need. What is missing is a roulette when we can’t decide what to start.

After further usage, it doesn’t.
Only 11 show are "random / curated’, then all of them are in alphabetical order.
Closing the app doesn’t regenerate a list.
Rebooting the shield tv doesn’t either.
