When Plex is installed it has default settings in the configuration.
Since I'm quite new to the Plex world, I have been testing all kinds of settings in PMS to see what options will give the best results with my setup.
My problem is that (as far as I have found out) there is now way to reset the configuration settings to it's default value once they are changed, unless of course you write down what was there originally (which I did not do).
Would it be possible to add a "default value" button next to the save/cancel button, maby only show it when advanced settings are chosen in the configuration?
Maby even have some sort of indication that the current value is not the default, this would make it easier to get help.
Might not be the most prioritized feature, but I think that it could help and save alot of headake for new and not so experienced users.
The same goes for the Plex/web, Plex for iOS and google-tv apps. Haven't tested any other, maby none has this option to reset.
What do you think, is it possible or even worth it?

Reset to Defaults is a standard option in almost everything these days. So yes there should be one.... but how far does it go? Does it also wipe out your library? Needs some thought .......

True. And I also like your naming better "Reset to Default".
I would say that wiping the library is not a part of default setting, since that is possible to "wipe clean" by removing the folders from the category, and then doing a Force Refresh / empty trash.
Reset to default should be for the options found under the current Settings menu in the different Plex applications.
The PMS setting option DLNA is a good example where a reset to default would be nice; "DLNA default protocol info" is filled with a predefined string, if this is modified and for some reason does not work it would be very good to be able to reset it.
Same goes for Transcoder wich I guess alot more people are experimenting with.
Dissenting opinion: this feature would provide me absolutely no benefit.
Fancy wording, but this comment does not bring anything to the discussion.
I would argue that even though you see absolutely no benefit personally, the suggestion would most likely benefit most users.
Usability and userfriendlyness in configuration options of systems, are often rated on the possibility of a fallback when something is not working after a change. Atleast that is my experience with system and function implementation.
As I said in the op, this option could help new and not so experienced users of Plex. Its easier to play around with settings if you have a fallback. Also for those who ask for help in the forums when something is not working, beeing able to see what is manually changed can help the helper to identify problems and hopefully solve the problem faster.
