Feature Request - Plex Theme Song For Movies##

I was going through my plex movie library and i noticed one very simple thing that bugged me slightly, Movies have no theme songs. This is something small and minor that i personally think would be pretty cool and i mean why not, TV shows have theme songs so why not movies? As i said though this is not huge, with or without this feature i still love Plex and will continue using it as my main media server because it is simply put amazing.

Apologies if this has feature has already been asked for but when searching through the forums the only post i saw about this issue was made back in 2010 and i am quite surprised no one else has brought it up since then.

There is no resource, that I am aware of, that provides ‘theme songs’ for movies like there is for TV Shows.

Gathering ‘theme songs’ from a resource that doesn’t exist will be EXTREMELY difficult.

You do get points for ‘creative thinking’ on this your first forum post - and welcome to the forums.

I agree automatically gathering a theme song would not be possible as there is not real resource for that but the ability to add one from local media similar to adding a theme.mp3 file for a TV show would still be nice.

Well, then, you never know what Plex is going to become enamored with.
They’re always doing stuff that annoys the bejebus out of me and though this ‘feature’ wouldn’t annoy me in the least, Plex may fall head over heels in love with it.

lol, Indeed possibly I personally think it would be a small but cool feature (The ability to set a theme.mp3 for a movie). It already implimented in TV shows, so i would think it could be a easy port though i am not a developer for Plex so i would not have a clue.

It’s so reasonable a request I find it hard to believe it’s hasn’t already been requested on the ‘Official Feature Requests’ Plex Pass Forums, but we can’t explore that area to find out.
