Plex Media Server : Version 1.21.0.3711
Mobile OS : Android 10
Plexamp : Version 3.3.2
Hello everyone,
Here is my first post and here I am already claiming.
First of all, I love Plexamp, both on mobile and on computer! The application is magnificent, both aesthetic and ergonomic without neglecting a quality and features worthy of a high-end audio player.
This year, I invested in a modular multiroom system, which I will gradually complete. For this, I bought the Klipsch The Three speaker earlier this year, not only for its vintage appearance and majestic sound, but also for its promise of an open protocol multiroom: DTS Play-Fi.
In fact, bluetooth has always disappointed me, by its quality and even more by its range, therefore broadcasting music without loss of quality, and with the long range of Wi-Fi or even via ethernet cables, seems essential to me.
At the moment, the only way to get music available on my Plex server to my speaker via Wi-Fi is to use the very austere DTS Play-Fi or Klipsch Stream app (which are similar, only the logo changes) by DLNA:
No search function, no possibility to randomly play all my songs and above all, I miss Plexamp
So here is my request:
Would it be possible to add to Plexamp the possibility of castering over Wi-Fi or Ethernet with the DTS Play-Fi protocol in the speakers or groups of speakers defined?
This would make this app even more essential for people using Plex and a multiroom system.
For comparison (hmm, I know it’s not the same budget), the Spotify app has integrated this functionality:
Thank you in advance for your feedback and if you want to give me some advice for my equipment, I’m a taker!
