Hi folks. Hope this is a new one for the community. I’m not sure if there is an alternative solution to accomplish the same, so I figure I’ll put this up here and see where it goes!
Feature Request : Quick Pick List
Provide a mechanism that allows a user to add a movie to a “Quick Pick List” while browsing through a library. The Quick Pick List would be set over to the side and not scroll with the rest of the library. At any time, you could move over to the quick pick list to refine/remove items from the list, or select the title to actually play.
Problem Scenarios:
- As I’ve migrated my entire library to my Plex Server, I find that when searching for a movie to watch, I mentally pick several “maybe” movies to watch. By the time I get around to the top again, I’ve lost track of my “short list” of things I want to watch. (aka: I forget things easily.) The Quick Pick List would help you quickly refine your selection in one pass through the library instead of many.
- If multiple people are looking through the collection of movies trying to find something to watch, especially someone new to your collection (think: family members over to watch a movie) it gets even harder for the group to collectively decide on a single movie to watch. Being able to put an item on this “quick pick list” would help the group come to a decision faster and spend more time “watching” a movie instead of “picking” a movie.
Let me know what you think! Thanks all.
