Movies and shows in my watchlist which are available on streaming services are shown as such. But if a watchlisted item is available on free-to-air tv, there is no indication at all.
Is it possible to set the DVR to automatically record items in my watchlist?
I would very much like to have this feature. At the moment, I need to regularly manually search the TV listings in case one of my watchlist items is due to be broadcast. I was about to log my own feature request for it today, but spotted yours.
It could use the “Watchlisted Item Now Available” notification like when a match is found from a streaming service. Or, a simple badge on the Watchlist icon in the GUI, to alert us that the show or movie is now available to record. Anything would be better than manually searching.
By the way, can I suggest that you change your “server-synology” tag to the “watchlist” and livetv-dvr" tags instead since this request since it is not restricted to the Synology?
A Watchlisted Item might not be available OTA right now, but will (presumably) become available someday. Maybe I know this because of a preannouncement. When it does, a DVR job should be automatically generated. I’d like to be able to set everything up for recording a series – channel number, episodes to keep, mark or remove commercials, when to delete. This is something like the TiVo Wishlist feature.
