My server is not very powerful, so i use the “optimize” function quite often. I transcode a lot of stuff to 1,5Mbps 480p,in order to watch it on my phone.
However, every time I want to set up a new optimize task, I need to select “custom quality” setting, enter the name for it, specify target device and quality - Is there a way to save this setting?
Also - I always name the quality “SD”, and I save everything in the root directory. Because I use my own settings I end up with a lot of meaningless directories:
-root:
–Plex Vesrions:
—SD 1180:
----content A
—SD 1217:
----content B
and so on…
Saving the custom quality setting would probably fix that.
So, is it possible to somehow save this setting? If no, consider this post a feature request 
Bump - I am unable to save my custom settings as well
I assume this was the intended feature… as PLEX gives the option to “name” your custom settings…
but they are not saved…
It would be great to be able to set it up once… and have PLEX auto encode all new recordings
