I think a very useful feature for some, if not most, would be an option that you could turn on / off from the PMS, to automatically remove an item from a playlist after it's been watched. (Maybe a check box at the bottom on the edit screen under summary?) Think of it as giving playlists the ability to become a Plex DVR.
The reasoning behind this, for me at least, is when I create playlists it's for shows or movies that I normally need to catch up on, but others in my household may have already watched. I know that Plex offers multiples logins and the "Need to Watch" section but when you have a ridiculous amount of media, this feature becomes almost useless and having to sign in and out of accounts becomes tedious (especially when you actually do watch the same shows / movies with friends and family together half of the time).
I know that Playlists are being used for music, more now than ever, and removing songs after they are finished would cause a problem. But, a small addition like this, that we had the ability to turn on and off, wouldn't cause issues at all. Also, when it comes to binge watching media, putting together a playlist and having the ability to use the Samsung Smart Hub Remote shortcuts is so much easier than navigating the normal way!
Having the ability to create a "Need to Watch: TV" playlist or a "Need to Watch: Movies" playlist for myself, or others that when I add new shows / movies and watch them, they remove themselves rather than constantly having to do it manually or delete the list entirely and recreate it would make my life a lot easier ... and that's what I love about Plex, it makes my life easier!
All of this, while still having the original playlists would give Plex and Plex users even more options for their media libraries. Please "Like This" if you would find this useful. I know this is a small feature but it's something that could be used it a lot of different ways for many people.
