I would love to see a sort of Plesx media server merging/sync.
The content sync would be nice. But i think the real plus would be the possibility to offload transcoding to a local Home PC.
So I use cloud sync to keep some of my movies and TV shows pre transcoded online for easy access on my phone/tablet when im out.
This means that every day there are new shows and movies to transcode and upload to the cloud. The synology NAS i have is good at this, but i would prefer to offload this sort of work to a home PC and save the server CPU time for direct streaming.
A definite +1 from me for server combining.
Also Dev's, please inform us if we have this in the wrong section.

The ability to sync media itself, media play state, and metadata between servers would be a huge benefit. I have an internal plex server for use in-home, and a plex server running out of a colocation facility for remote use (home upload pipe is incredibly slow). This would save me having to manually upload new media, and it'd be nice to have shows marked as watched on both servers regardless of where I'd watched them from.

Hey guys I added full server sync to Plex Downloader. Hopefully you guys can make use of it while you are waiting for official support.

in my case, I have an "offline" server with 12 TB or movies... I.e.: it's turn on only for backup reasons...
From time to time, I would like to sync some movies from that server on my NAS (which is 24/7), E.g.: when I plan to watch again an old serie...

I would also find this quite useful too.
This suggestion is in the wrong section. But I do agree that this would be useful at cabin, lake, etc.

+1 also!
Would be good to hear from the developers if this is even on their radar to make happen.

I want to sync a subset of the main library to a laptop + ext drive for extended trips with poor wifi and/or expensive mobile data.
