Sure I can drag a small circle over a line and keep an eye over the time position of the video and release the mouse button when the point I want is finally found. But I miss very much to be able to key in 12:34 plus and have the video positioned exactly on this position.
No need to tell that is way faster. Could someone bring this feature back from PHT? It is a bit childish, really slower and not precise to drag a cursor to set the video to a desired position…
Departed Plex Home Theater was great for use without a mouse. I do not understand why Plex Media Player could not preserve some of that features. It is OK to use a mouse but the user knows when is best to use the mouse and when is best to use the keyboard. Not the programmers, I believe.
Why can not I use “+” and “-” keys to change volume in PMP as I could do in PHT? Could it really be an improvement?
In PHT I could type 11:36 and enter and take the video to this exact position: 11 minutes and 36 seconds from start. Now in PMP I have to lock the cursor over a giant progress bar and take forever to find this exact position. Another improvement?
In PHT it was fast to navigate the library using just the arrow keys and enter. Now it takes ages of rolling and clicking. Another improvement? Maybe Plex developers believe that the On_Deck and _Continue_Watching covers all needs one user could possibly have.
