Hope self explanatory by title, I’d love to be able to use duration in the sort drop down. We watch a movie each night often something off our “to do” list but out starting point is usually duration.
I understand there are variations in length (directors cut etc) but would be fine to use whatever the duration is listed as in the source metadata the watchlist uses.
I’m surprised that this feature request has not yet been upvoted by many. I feel that many lack it though but keep silent ; the average user doesn’t go to forums to advocate for features.
I’ve been using the Unified Watch list more and more now that I’ve taken the effort to migrate everything across all my platforms in there manually. Something that can encourage users to use this great feature more is to include more sorting options in the UI that let you view and filter by the estimated run-time of entire seasons and series. This would allow me to treat my unified central list as a definitive backlog with useful info I can use when I have only a moment to consume something short or more free time to work through a longer series. It helps to know this scope of length before diving into something, not just for movies. I’m sure all this data is already there in the Plex scraped info, it just needs to be added up for shows to give an approximate value for a full series and info for it’s individual seasons. I don’t see most streaming platforms utilize this kind of info. Who doesn’t love this kind of extra data? It could better inform and encourage viewership stemming from Plex first. I hope I haven’t underestimated the work it would take for this feature request. Thanks for everything you do Plex team! Y’all are brilliant.
