Let’s say you play a movie on Plex, on TV, Mediacenter, anything but mobile screens. Then you want to hear the audio through your plex app on your mobile device so you can use ear-plugs or headphones. Alternatively maybe every user choose their own audio track (one person ENG, one FR, one ES for example, or all the same).
I’ve been a long time plex-pass user, since the beginning, and have seen numerous great improvements. Specially the Trailer support, I was a big fan of that. Anyhow. Now my girlfriend many times wants to sleep, or read a book, or sit in the same room working. And I do not like to pull a 2-5 meter cable for this. Technically this should be possible to let the Plex app on the mobile device to play the audio track at the same timing as the video playback on the screen.
As a plus, as i mentioned, it would be great to let users choose multiple audio tracks if your sitting with multi-lingual friends/family.
I searched this and did not find this request earlier, maybe it has been requested, then my bad.
I’m contemplating replacing all my htpc’ with rokus for this exact reason… Which I don’t really want to do. Pht and pmp are much better experiences. This feature would be huge. I don’t really care about different audio tracks, just the ability to direct the audio through my mobile while the video is on the tv
