Hi folks,

Just setting up to start adding music to my library for use with PlexAmp. Excited to say the least and can finally say goodbye to Spotify!

However, I am reading through the naming and I understand the whole Music>Artists>Album>tracknumber - Title thing but it doesn’t really make clear (to me anyways) where to put the “featuring” artists. For example Eminem feat Rhianna. Can anyone shed some light on this please or is it simply a case of in the embedded metadata putting Album artist as Eminem and the artist Eminem feat. Rhianna?

Plex doesn’t really have support for that.

The currently best way is to add the featuring artist into the Artist meta tag,
but at the same time put an Album Artist tag in all tracks of that album with only the name of the main artist (i.e. the one, to which the overall album is credited).
The Album Artist tag must have identical content in all tracks of a particular album.

This is also the way how to handle sampler and compilation albums.
