Feedback: Missing Chinese Language Support in the New Version of Plex Player (Android & iOS)

Hello everyone,

I’d like to provide some feedback regarding the latest version of the Plex player app on both Android and iOS. In the older version of Plex, users were able to select Chinese as the interface language, which was incredibly helpful for many Chinese-speaking users. However, in the recently updated version of the Plex player, I noticed that the option for Chinese language has been removed. This change has created a significant inconvenience for users who are accustomed to using Plex in Chinese, especially those who are not comfortable navigating the app in English.

As a long-time user of Plex, I truly appreciate its functionality and ease of use, but this language issue has impacted my overall experience. I hope the development team will reconsider and restore support for the Chinese language, or at least provide a clear solution moving forward. I believe this would be a crucial improvement for the global community of Chinese-speaking users!

Looking forward to hearing from the Plex team regarding this matter, and I’m also curious about other users’ experiences.

Thank you!

We also urge the urgent restoration of Chinese and other multilingual options. Currently, only a few languages such as English and Spanish are available.

Yes, Simplified and Traditional Chinese are very important for people living in Asia; otherwise, the user experience is poor, and one might have to give up on Plex Pass and use Emby instead.
