Few Questions about installing PlexConnect on jailbroken ATV 2

Hi Everyone

 

I'm hoping someone can answers some questions I have related to the install of PlexConnect on a jailbroken ATV 2 running software 5.2.

 

I've located the instructions in the ReadMe file on the GIT page... they are quite clear except of a few things that bother me.

 

 

1. Line 8 of the instructions says:

- SFTP "python_2.7.3-3_iphoneos-arm.deb" to your aTV

My questions is: Where on the ATV ? What is the correct path?

 

 

2. Line 20 says:

- SFTP into aTV and copy the complete PlexConnect directory. Eg. to /Application/PlexConnect.

My question is: Again where exactlty ? There are mutliple Application folder on the ATV. Which one is the correct one ?

 

 

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone working on PlexConnect...It's an amazing project. I installed it for an ATV 3 I'm running and it works fantastic. The Wiki and the install instructions were easy to follow... thanks!!! I just have an ATV 2 that I want to experiment with... Just a bit of fun..lol

i put my python at the root..private/var/root

and i put my plexconnect folder in /Applications

go all the way to the ground of the atv and there u go to the Applications folder..

in mine there is

AppleTV.app

Cydia.app

PlexConnect

Utilities

WhatsNew.app

1) Python is "just" the install file - it can be removed later on, and doesn't matter where you put it. You only have to find it again via SSH...

2) PlexConnect might live where ever you want... again, you only have to find it.

Hi Everyone

A bit of update on my experiment.

As of now, I am stuck at the ''apt-get install python'' stage. When I run that command it give me the following dependencies error:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

Python: Depends: libxml2 but it is not going to be installed

             Depends: sqlite3 but it is not going to be installed

E: Broken packages

How do I fix this ?

MySetup

ATV2 5.2 Jailbreak done with SeasonPass, NiTO TV installed and updated

Please let me know
